Tracking the Highest Mileage Lamborghini in the World
Jack Riddell is retired from the Navy, and resides in San Diego. Passionate about the Lamborghini brand, not only does he own the highest mileage Lamborghini in the world, but he is known for his annual Lamborghini Gathering in San Diego he hosts every year.

What was the first Lamborghini you purchased?
I bought my 400GT 2+2 in 1972, and have since put over 250,000 miles on it. I made 28 round trips between San Diego and the Monterey event totaling 28,000 miles for that trip alone!

Why did you decide to purchase a Lamborghini instead of another exotic?
After owning a variety of other exotic sports cars, I always have been unsatisfied knowing that there was something better. I then was able to find the right Lamborghini for me.

What draws you to the Lamborghini brand?
Lamborghini, to me, is the ultimate exotic automobile that is still practical for ordinary driving. The longevity of my 400GT 2+2 is testimony to the car’s durability.

Describe your most memorable experience with your Lamborghini.
It is tough to nail down one memorable Lamborghini experience after being associated with this brand for almost 40 years. I think it would have to be the ride I took in the Marzal last year at Stile Bertone. Sitting in that car, you get a sense of the history of the company and it is very personal. I sat in the same place in that car as Princess Grace of Monaco!

Why is Lamborghini Club America important to you?
Over the years, by being associated to the Club, I have made many enduring friendships through Club events.. It is always great to meet both new and familiar friends at Club events and meets.

What will your next Lamborghini purchase be?
After living with my 400 for the past 40 years, I doubt there will be room for another Lamborghini. I once had a black 1972 Espada, but I ended up selling it to James DiIorio who later converted the car to the infamous “Mad Max” Espada.
